Volunteers Needed for Mutt Strut
Are you interested in volunteering at the Mutt Strut? We would LOVE to have you!
The California Council of the Blind is a volunteer run organization so you will be in good company!
We need volunteers for everything from event set up to event breakdown and even coaches for any visually impaired participants requesting extra help.
We need fun, reliable, enthusiastic volunteers. Bring your family, youth groups, friends!
As a thank you for your generous gift of time, talents and energy you will receive a Mutt Strut T-shirt and have contact with fun-loving visually impaired people.
Here are some examples of volunteer opportunities:
- Pre event (help drive a committee member to event related activities, distribute Mutt Strut publicity materials, help promote the Mutt Strut to your family and friends)
- Set up and Break Down
- Registration/Check In
- T-shirt table
- Snacks and food table
- Course Monitors
- Maintain dog relieving and coolling areas
- Coaching - working directly with specific visually impaired participants
- Race timing assistance
